Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well. Normally, I write a welcome-back letter much earlier in the school year, and I apologize for the delay in reaching out this time. However, I am pleased to share that every James Irwin Charter School scored in the “performance range” on the state assessment this year. This is no small accomplishment, as it reflects the dedication and commitment of our teachers, staff, and students across all our campuses. Districts often find it challenging to have every school meet these high standards for performance, so we are incredibly proud of the hard work that went into achieving these results. If you would like to review the state performance framework for any of our schools, please visit https://www.cde.state.co.us/schoolview/frameworks/welcome, type the name of the James Irwin school you are interested in, and scroll down for the results.
This year is particularly special for James Irwin Charter Schools as we celebrate our 25th year serving students in the Pikes Peak region. For a quarter of a century, we have been dedicated to providing an excellent education that focuses on academic success, character development, and the social skills necessary for lifelong achievement. We look forward to continuing this legacy of excellence for many more years to come.
In addition to this milestone, there have been some exciting changes in leadership this year. Cari Reed has stepped into the role of Chief Academic Officer, guiding our academic initiatives. Elsie Daniels has taken on a network position to support students across all our schools, ensuring they receive the individualized attention they need. Elgin Fitzgerald has joined us as the Special Education Coordinator, and Terena Fox has become our new Communications Manager, helping keep you informed of everything happening in our community. Additionally, Maria Ramos is now our Talent Manager, playing a vital role in attracting and supporting our staff. To view our updated organization chart and see more of the amazing team behind James Irwin’s success, please visit https://www.jamesirwin.org/leadership/jics-network-organizational-chart.
As we continue to grow, we still have some seats available for students in most of our schools. If you know anyone looking for a high-quality education for their child, I encourage you to forward this email to them and direct them to the “Enroll Now” tab under Prospective Parents on our website. Additionally, we are actively hiring teaching assistants, teaching interns, and bus drivers. If you or someone you know is considering a new career or returning to work after some time away, the James Irwin family is a great place to start or restart your journey!
At James Irwin Charter Schools, we remain committed to doing what is best for our students. We are excited for another year of growth and achievement and look forward to partnering with you to ensure the best outcomes for our students. Thank you for your continued support and trust in James Irwin Charter Schools.
Sincerely,
Rob Daugherty, CEO
