Dear James Irwin Charter School Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and that your children are settling into another fantastic school year at James Irwin Charter Schools. As we continue our educational journey together, I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on a few important topics.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the confidence you have placed in James Irwin by entrusting us with your child’s education. Your support and partnership mean the world to us. We believe in the power of community and collaboration, and we are here to serve you and your children to the best of our abilities.
Secondly, I would like to emphasize the importance of regular school attendance. Every day in school is important, and consistent attendance greatly contributes to your child’s academic success. We understand that illness is a part of life, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping sick children home if they have a fever of 100.4oF or above, are vomiting regularly, or have persistent diarrhea. Of course, if your family doctor has suggested that your child remain at home, please do so. It is important to note that vacations are not considered excused absences and, under state law attendance is compulsory. Your dedication to your child’s education by ensuring their regular attendance is highly revered.
Lastly, as winter approaches, we want to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Please make sure your child comes to school with appropriate winter wear, including warm coats, gloves, and hats. Additionally, we would like to inform you that we are currently facing staffing challenges in our maintenance and grounds department.
