Taliyah Poindexter

Taliyah Poindexter has had a passion for education and teaching since young childhood. Kindergarten - 12th grade, Taliyah attended James Irwin. In 2023, she became a substitute teacher which eventually led her back to James Irwin. Taliyah saw an opportunity to fulfill her dreams of becoming a teacher and pursued it, and is incredibly grateful to have ended up at James Irwin Elementary School.

Taliyah has always been ambitious, which is just one of the many great qualities she learned from attending James Irwin. Currently, Taliyah is working toward her Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Education.
