Principal Saadia Dumas:
Saadia Dumas’ sincere love for children and desire to guide them in the development of their character and academic potential fueled the beginning of her journey in the James Irwin family. In 2007, Saadia became a third-grade instructional assistant at James Irwin Charter Elementary School - Astrozon Campus. In succession, she transitioned to second grade as a classroom teacher and later served as the second-grade lead teacher for the next four years.

As Saadia’s aspirations grew to mentoring teachers, as well as serving students and parents, she humbly accepted the offer to become a part of the leadership team at James Irwin Charter Academy. Through servant leadership, side-by-side coaching, and professional development, Saadia served as James Irwin Elementary - Howard Campus' assistant principal from August 2013 to June 2016. Beginning the 2016-2017 school year, Saadia transitioned to her current position of principal at James Irwin Elementary School - Howard Campus.
