Mandy Crane

3rd Grade Teacher

Mandy comes from a long line of teachers in her family and has been drawn to working with students since high school. She was drawn to James Irwin Charter Elementary-Howard Campus when her oldest child was getting ready to start elementary school. Mandy was looking for an academically and character rich school for her children to attend and found it in the James Irwin family.

Mandy started out as part of the PTO then began leading the PTO as the president. While striving to help support the teachers and students through various activities Mandy noticed a need for substitutes in the building so she began substitute teaching as the need arose. From there she became a full-time staff member as an interventionist supporting the students who needed extra help. She worked as an interventionist for 2 years and then transitioned to the classroom as a second-grade teacher, then a fourth-grade teacher for two years, and now a third-grade teacher. Her goal is to always do what is best for students.

Mandy has her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Adams State University.
