Mary Ann Anders

Mrs. Anders is joining the James Irwin community as a Special Education Teacher for grades 6-12.  She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 12 years where she attended her undergraduate and graduate programs in education.  After completing her master’s program at New Mexico Highlands University she decided to return home to Colorado Springs where she grew up. She enjoys spending time with her family along the Colorado western slope off-wheel driving, hiking, and doing amateur photography.

Mrs. Anders has worked in educational settings for 17 years with youth ages 2-21 in community setting and school settings.  She enjoys engaging youth in opportunities they want to pursue toward college and career paths that best fit them. She believes that James Irwin Charter Schools continue to provide innovative opportunities for students to meet their full potential.
