Suzan Mitchell

Mrs. Suzan Mitchell came to Colorado Springs in 2005, by way of her husband being mobilized to Ft. Carson. She joined James Irwin as the Art teacher in 2011. After earning a double BFA degree in Art History and Painting and Printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University, she took an adventurous route of being employed in an art gallery, restoring architectural antiques, doing medical illustrations at two teaching hospitals, freelancing, portraiture, and as an instructor at two colleges before joining James Irwin High School.

Her passions are traveling, reading, art and hanging out with her awesome family.
