From over 350 essays, eighth grader Shawn McGee was chosen as Colorado’s south central winner of the Colorado Municipal League contest titled “if I were mayor…” Shawn and his family are invited to attend the Elected Officials Luncheon on Friday, June 24, in Vail where Shawn will present his essay during the lunch. Not only will his family be given hotel accommodations for the evening, Shawn will receive $500 to establish a college account through College Invest! Congratulations to Shawn on a job well done!
