The JICS Business Office will be open from 9am-3pm Monday – Thursday from May 29 until July 24, then on July 25 will be back to 8a-4p.

Richardson will join 11 other teachers from around the state for the coveted position, and was one of two Colorado Springs teachers selected.

The Star Teacher Council was inaugurated in 2011 by the Colorado League of Charter Schools as a means to get leaders in charter schools to be voices in the state of Colorado to support charter school education. Council members will provide guidance on best practices while evaluating and supporting professional growth of charter school educators. With current legislation focused on educator effectiveness, Council members will be a resource to lawmakers and other education-focused organizations. They will be ambassadors of Colorado’s League of Charter Schools which advocates for best practices for charter school education.

Congratulations, Susie, and thank you for making JICES an influential partner in charter school growth and development!

Interested parties are asked to nominate themselves to the Board with a letter expressing their interest and qualifications.

Letters should be received by no later than May 15, 2012, to Steve Hester, Chair, JICS Board of Directors, c/o Ginger Asbury, James Irwin Charter Schools, 5525 Astrozon Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO, 80916. Alternatively, a letter of interest may be sent by email to ginger.asbury@jamesirwin.org.
