Yesterday the track team did a great job and placed 3rd at the Elizabeth track meet. The 7th grade boys 4x100 relay team of Jonas Kagarise, Jonas Helvie, Tyler O'Connell and Jeremy Dixon set a new school record and placed 1st. Miguel Molas also set a new record in 200 dash. Those who placed first in their events were Jeremy Dixon, Tyler O'Connell, Jonas Kagarise, Ben Lawson and Sariya Williams. Those who placed 2nd in their events were Jeremy Dixon, Miguel Molas, Jay Clark, and Faaeseina Lefano. The Jags go to Cheyenne Mountain on Monday.
Monday the track team did a great job at the Cheyenne Mountain track meet. They were the only small school team at the meet but still shined in various events. Jeremy Dixon set a new school record for the long jump and placed 1st in that event. Jeremy Dixon also placed 1st in the 200 dash and Sariya Williams placed 1st in the 400 dash. Those who placed 2nd in their events were Jeremy Dixon, Sariya Williams and Christine Busekrus. Those placing 3rd in their events were Faaeseina Lefano, Sariya Williams, and 7th grade boys relay team of Jeremy Dixon, Jalen Scandrett, Tyler O'Connell and Jonas Helvie. The Jags go to Woodland Park on Tuesday.
Tuesday the track team did an outstanding job at the Woodland Park track meet. The 7th grade boys & the 8th grade girls both placed 4th at the meet. Not an easy task when you're facing large teams. The 7th grade boys relay team of Jonas Helvie, Jalen Scandrett, Tyler O'Connell and Jeremy Dixon set a new school record for the 800 relay placing 1st in that event. Jeremy Dixon set a new school record in the 400 meter dash placing 3rd in that event and also placed 1st in the 100m dash. Sariya Williams and Miguel Molas both placed 1st in the 400 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. Those placing 2nd in their events were Sariya Williams and Miguel Molas and those placing 3rd in their events were Jeremy Dixon, Sariya Williams, Christine Busekrus, Miguel Molas and Cory DeSantis. The Jags go to Woodland Park again on Wednesday.
