JAMES IRWIN 7th 2 - ELLICOTT 1 (Record 1-0)

The Lady Jags got off to an awesome start of the season yesterday! The 7th grade girls lost the 1st game of the match, but held on to win the next two games defeating the Lady Hawks 2 out of 3 games. The 8th grade girls handily defeated the Lady Hawks in 2 games straight. In both matches serving was key to the wins. 7th grader Alysia Wilson had 10 ace points for the match and Amanda Ringstad followed close behind with 6 ace points.

JAMES IRWIN 8th 2 - ELLICOTT 0 (Record 1-0)

8th grader Caitlin Sears had 6 ace points for the match and Faaeseina Lefano followed close behind with 4 ace points. Both teams did a great job in working together to set up the ball for attacks. Today both teams travel to ECA for a scrimmage and then to Peyton on Wednesday. Thank you to all who came out to give your support. We feel the love!

JAMES IRWIN 7th 2 - PEYTON 1 (Record 2-0)

Yesterday the Lady Jags volleyball teams rocked it! The 7th grade team lost the 1st game of the match with a close score of 23-25. But with a two-twelve attitude in their pocket, the Jags came back to win the next 2 games winning the match. Once again serving dominated the games with the Jags having a total of 29 serving aces for the match. Leading the way in that serving were Aleah Brenner, Alysia Wilson, Amanda Ringstad and Macaylah LeBlanc.

JAMES IRWIN 8th 2 - PEYTON 1 (Record 2-0)

The 8th grade girls also had an exciting match. The Jags won the 1st game handedly, but fell in the 2nd game with a close score of 24-26. Also having a two-twelve attitude the 8th graders came back to win the 3rd game and winning the match. Serving was once again key, but what made the difference was the defensive play and attacking at the net. The Jags had 6 kills for the match! Awesome job Lady Jags.

JAMES IRWIN 7th 0 - BANNING LEWIS 2 (Record 2-1)

Last night the 7th grade girls volleyball team lost in two, to Banning Lewis Stallions. In unfamiliar fashion, the Lady Jags struggled at the serving line. The Lady Jags made a comeback in the second game but couldn't get close enough to get the win. With hard work, you'll get them next time ladies!

JAMES IRWIN 8th 2 - BANNING LEWIS 0 (Record 3-0)

Continuing their winning streak, last night the 8th grade girls volleyball team defeated Banning Lewis Stallions in two games. The Lady Jags serving hit the Stallions hard, having 13 ace points for the match. Moriah Ceballes had 6 serving aces and in one run served 17 points in a row. Also serving well for the Lady Jags and working on their zone serving, was Caitlin Sears, Jenny Householder, Leilani Toloa-Thompson, Desiree Batteiger and Faaeseina Lefano. The Lady Jags are also doing a great job attacking and setting the ball up for attacks. The Lady Jags had 40+ attacks for the night with 6 kills. Keep it up Lady Jags!

JAMES IRWIN 7th 0 - CSCS 2 (Record 2-2)

Last night the 7th grade Lady Jags fell to the CSCS Lions here at home. It was a tough match but the Jags worked hard till the end. Alysia Wilson had 2 ace points, Aleah Brenner and Macaylah LeBlanc each had one. Amanda Ringstad had 2 kills. The Lady Jags are showing improvement every match. Keep up the hard work ladies!

JAMES IRWIN 8th 0 - CSCS 2 (Record 3-1)

The 8th grade Lady Jags lost their 1st match of the season to a worthy opponent, CSCS Lions. Despite the loss, it was one of the best matches to watch of the season. The Lady Jags played their hearts out! Lead by Faaeseina Lefano and Moriah Ceballes, the Jags defense picked up 15+ digs for the match and several near blocks at the net. Once again the Jags worked hard offensively attacking at the net over 50+ times putting down 3 kills by Caitlin Sears, Danielle Dickerson and Leilani Toala-Thompson. Caitlin Sears also led the way in serves having 3 ace points.

JAMES IRWIN 7TH 1 - MANITOU SPRINGS 2 (Record 2-3)

The 7th grade Lady Jags played an exciting match against the Manitou Stallions. The girls lost the 1st game but came back to win the second game, sending it to a 3rd game. The score was close but the Jags lost to the Stallions 11-15. Leading the team in serving was Aleah Brenner with 4 ace points and Alysia Wilson with 3 ace points. Offensively, Amanda Ringstad had 4 kills for the match. Keep working hard Lady Jags.

JAMES IRWIN 8th 1 - MANITOU SPRINGS 2 (Record 3-2)

The 8th grade Lady Jags played another exciting match last night here at home against Manitou. The girls won the 1st game with a close score winning by two, but fell in the second game, sending it to a third. The third game went back and forth with the Lady Jags losing 13-15. Tough loss. Let's take that loss back when we go there. Some of the highlights from the night were: Outstanding serving by Desiree Batteiger having 4 ace points and Faaeseina Lefano with 3 ace points . The Lady Jags offense was led by Danielle Dickerson having 3 kills for the night and Lelani Toloa-Thompson with 2 kills. The Lady Jags fought hard at the net also; Danielle Dickerson had 2 blocks, Lelani Toloa-Thompson and Faaeseina Lefano each with 1 block. Defensively Faaeseina Lefano led the way with 10 digs and Moriah Ceballes with 5 digs.

JAMES IRWIN 7th 2 - ELLICOTT 0 (Record 3-3)

Last night the 7th grade Lady Jags defeated Ellicott with a 2-0 victory. Once again The Lady Jags impressive serving paid off having a total of 22 ace serves in the match. Leading the way in serving was Amanda Ringstad with 10 ace points and Alysia Wilson with 7 ace points. Aleah Brenner and Alexia McCowen each had 2 ace points. The Lady Jags offense was led by Amanda Ringstad with 5 kills and Alysia Wilson with 2 kills. Aleah Brenner had 3 assists for those kills. Great job ladies!

JAMES IRWIN 8th 2 - ELLICOTT 0 (Record 4-2)

Last night the Lady Jags 8th grade volleyball team also had a great start to the second half of the season defeating Ellicott with a 2-0 victory. The 8th grade Lady Jags serving was also impressive having a total of 12 ace points for the match. Leading the way in serving was Moriah Ceballes with 6 ace points and Caitlin Sears with 4 ace points. The Lady Jags offense was led by Lelani Toloa-Thompson with 2 kills; Moriah Ceballes and Desiree Batteiger each with a kill. Working hard at the net with 3 blocks was Danielle Dickerson; Leilani Toloa-Thompson and Moriah Ceballes each with 2 blocks. The Lady Jags face the Peyton Panthers on Wednesday here at home. Come out to support the Lady Jags!

Another close match for the 7th grade Lady Jags. The Lady Jags lost the 1st game, went on to win the 2nd game but lost the 3rd game 11-15. Serving was strong with 17 ace points for the match. Amanda Ringstad with 6 ace points, Alysia Wilson with 4 ace points, Aleah Brenner and Alexis McCowan each with 3 ace points. The Lady Jags also attacked well having 9 kills for the match. Alexis McCowan led the offense with 3 kills, Aleah Brenner and Macaylah LeBlanc each had 2 kills. Keep working hard ladies.

JAMES IRWIN 8TH 2 - PEYTON 1 (Record 5-2)

The 8th grade Lady Jags played another exciting match last night against the Peyton Panthers. The Lady Jags serving was rough at times but in the 3rd game the ladies got it done. The Lady Jags had 9 ace points for the match. The Lady Jags offense was impressive having 13 kills for the match. Moriah Ceballes led the way with 5 kills, Danielle Dickerson, Jenny Householder and Leilani Toloa-Thompson each with 2 kills. Beginning to work like a well-oiled machine, the Lady Jags defense led by Desiree Batteiger, Faaeseina Lefano and Moriah Ceballes, picked up 26 digs for the match. Nicely done ladies. The Lady Jags last home game is Monday against Banning Lewis. If you haven't had a chance, come out and support your Lady Jags!

JAMES IRWIN 7TH 2 - BANNING LEWIS 0 (Record 4-4)

After losing to the Banning Lewis Stallions in the first match of the season, the 7th grade Lady Jags took this match from the Stallions winning 2-0. The first game was a landslide winning 25-5. Serving was huge. Amanda Ringstand served 15 straight points for the game and had 6 ace serving points for the match. Alysia Wilson also served it up having 7 ace points for the match. The 7th grade Lady Jags worked well together with their new rotation, beginning to look like pros getting on and off the net. Great job ladies.

JAMES IRWIN 8TH 2 - BANNING LEWIS 0 (Record 6-2)

The 8th grade Lady Jags had another win against Banning Lewis bringing their record to 6-2. Only two more matches left for the season and then the tournament. The Lady Jags did a great job serving with a total of 24 ace points for the match. Caitlin Sears had 7 ace points, Faaeseina Lefano with 6 ace points, Desiree Batteiger and Jenny Householder each had 5 ace points. The Lady Jags also attacked well having 7 kills for the match. Boomer Acacia Melvin and Faaeseina Lefano each had 2 kills, Danielle Dickerson, Lelani Toloa-Thompson and Moriah Ceballes each had 1 kill. Our setters doing a great job. Jenny Householder with 4 assists and Faaeseina Lefano with 2 assists. Our last two matches of the season are away. CSCS is tomorrow and Manitou on Monday.
