Assistant Principal's Letter

Mrs. Jessica Rawson has taught several courses in the science department including Earth science, general chemistry, anatomy & physiology, and Advanced Placement chemistry. She has completed several workshops through the National Math and Science Initiative on teaching more effective Advanced Placement chemistry courses and raising passing scores for college admissions. Before working at JICHS, Mrs. Rawson worked as an engineer in the semiconductor field. She worked as a project technician on the process side and upon completion of her MBA worked as a planning engineer on the business side of the field.

Mrs. Rawson completed her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from UCCS in 2010. She also has her professional teaching license from the State of Colorado in Secondary Science. She completed a Master of Arts in Business and Administration in 2008. Mrs. Rawson completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with a minor in Leadership Studies in 2006.

Mrs. Rawson met her husband Cory while in middle school and they married in 2007. They welcomed their first child in 2011, a son. They are excited to be adding to their family in December of 2012. Mrs. Rawson loves being a mom, spending time with her husband, scrapbooking, running, backpacking, camping, and enjoying all the benefits of living in Colorado.
